Bassoon Finished Reed TK-M (Medium) Unwrapped

Finished bassoon reed, unwrapped. Reeds without thread wrapping have a rich overtone and clear tone because there is no tightening of the thread. The tone will stand out even in tutti passages. This reed, due to the lack of thread tightening, will produce a vibrant sound when blown strongly, and also has the advantage of being easy to control with a darker tone when blown softly.
However, due to the following drawbacks, they are not commonly found in commercially available finished reeds. Please refer below.

[Drawbacks]
- The base is light, so it may fall tip-first if dropped.
- Difficult to distinguish without marking, making them hard to sell.
- The base is difficult to grip, making it hard to apply force when inserting into the bocal.

If these points do not bother you, you will benefit from rich overtones, a loud sound that is easy to produce, and easy tone control with your embouchure. Even professional musicians are increasingly seen using these reeds recently. The wrapped part is resin-coated, so there is no air leakage. Since there is no thread wrapping, wire is used up to the 4th turn.
